Our Founder Kozo Fukuda

In 1964, at the age of 24, Kozo Fukuda, a former representative of the Vuteq Group established an affiliate company to provide automotive window assembly services. With the investment of 2 million Yen, Mr. Fukuda was then able to reorganize the company in order to better serve the needs of the Automotive Industry, operating under the name of Chubu Kogyo Co. Ltd.

Based on Mr. Fukuda’s leadership and dedication, he directed the expansion of Chubu Industries to North America by establishing the Vuteq KY Division in Georgetown, Kentucky in 1987.  Shortly thereafter, additional divisions were established in:

  • Normal, Illinois – 1987

  • Woodstock, Ontario – 1988

  • Princeton, Indiana – 2001

  • Hayword, California – 2001

  • San Antonio, Texas – 2005

  • New Albany, Mississippi – 2008

In addition, the business was expanded into other fields which include engineering operations in both Kentucky and Canada, as well as restaurant operations in Kentucky and Indiana.

Mr. Fukuda’s basic core business philosophy has always been to maintain a family atmosphere that is open and friendly.  This philosophy has continued to serve the company well.
