Production Control Co-op Student

Job Summary

The Production Control Co-op Student will compile information and records to monitor inventory levels, forecast requirements to suppliers to ensure uninterrupted supply of materials to support production at Vuteq.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory using electronic Kanban systems and MRP calculations
  • Responsible for tracking of build-out and obsolete inventory
  • Cycle counts and inventory counts as required
  • Reconcile physical counts with electronic records
  • Report out daily discrepancies and potential supply concerns
  • Assist the Material Planning Department with various daily duties

Job Qualifications

Education

  • Must have grade 12 diploma

  • Currently enrolled in an Logistics and Supply Chain Management or Business Administration program at a College/University

Experience

  • N/A

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as; safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  • Ability to speak effectively before large groups of customers or employees of organization

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units or measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
